Gunzenhausen is located in the Franconian Lake District directly on the Altmühl Cycle Path, the oldest long-distance cycle path in Germany. The resort with historical center invites you to relax. The Altmühlsee is only about 2 km away, so a nice starting point for “bike and swim”.

The family-run Parkhotel is located in the center of the Franconian Lake District and at the gateway to the Altmühltal Nature Park. It is quiet and located directly on the bike path.

Comfortable rooms furnished in modern country house style (Altmühlsee category), with shower/WC, minibar, TV, tel., internet access via WLAN, hairdryer, cosmetic mirror, seating area and desk.
Gastronomy
The kitchen of the house offers a rich breakfast buffet and in the evening a 3-course menu with a choice of the main course (2 courses to choose from) or dinner in buffet form. Franconian specialties are on the menu as well as international dishes.
The route

> The daily stages are between 27 and 43 km long and are also well suited for families.

Rental bicycles
Sturdy touring bikes 7 speeds with hub gears and coaster brake or 21 speeds with derailleur gears and freewheel, comfort saddle (wide seat), 28 inches with different frame heights.
If you are taller than 1.90 m or shorter than 1.60 m, we will be happy to request wheels with a 66 frame or 26 inch wheels for you.
Electric bikes: 8 gears (freewheel, without coaster brake); range between 60 and 80 km (depending on riding style); suitable for heights from 1.60 m – 1.90 m (bookable on request).
Own bikes
It is possible to bring your own bikes, but at your own risk. For possible damages etc. on the own bike during the whole bike trip as well as during transport trips can not be liable.
For your own safety, we recommend that you always wear a bicycle helmet on all bicycle tours.

Gunzenhausen is very easy to reach by train.

Car/Parking
Parking available in unguarded private parking lot at the hotel. Please pay any fees directly on site. They are not included in the tour price.
