Since 1983 it connects Germany, Switzerland and Austria with cycling friends from all over the world. Unbroken, it enjoys great popularity as one of the most popular cycling routes in the world. Congratulations Lake Constance!
Start your Lake Constance bike tour from Friedrichshafen, the Zeppelin and science city on the northern shore of Lake Constance. Enjoy the wide view over the lake and the alpine panorama behind. Look forward to Lindau, Bregenz, Constance, Stein am Rhein, Schaffhausen, Überlingen, Meersburg, Salem and lots of sea and air.
The route of the is mostly flat and runs mostly away from car traffic. On this bike tour around Lake Constance, you will ride through nature reserves, visit the largest waterfall in Europe, the Rhine Falls, and culturally rich cities such as Meersburg, Constance and Stein am Rhein. Not to be missed, of course, is a visit to the flower island of Mainau, one of the most popular German vacation destinations.
Lake Constance Experiences!
You will receive a Lake Constance Experience Package with this bike tour around Lake Constance. The includes a museum admission, a coffee / tea & cake – break, an ice cream experience and a wine tasting.
Accommodation
Hotels
You will stay in selected hotels of the 3*** category. All rooms have bathroom, shower and toilet.
Catering
Every day a rich cyclist breakfast buffet is included. If you book the option ‘half board’, your package includes additionally 5 x 3-course dinners in the hotel or partly outside.
The route
You will ride mainly on flat and paved bike paths away from car traffic. The 6 daily stages are between 35 and 64 km. In total you will be about 300 km on the bike.

Rental bicycles
Robust touring bikes (German quality bikes of the brand Kettler & Schauff): 7 gears with hub gears and coaster brake or 21 gears with derailleur gears and freewheel, comfort saddle, 28 inch with different frame heights, saddle bag rental and 1.5 l mineral water at bike handout in Bregenz.
If you are taller than 1.90 m or smaller than 1.60 m, we will ask for wheels with a 66 frame or 26 inch wheels for you.
Electric bikes: 8-speed gears (freewheel); only 21 kg own weight! daily range between 60 and 80 km (depending on weight / height of the customer and setting of the assistance); suitable for body heights from 1.60 m – 1.90 m; bookable on request
Own bikes
Bringing your own wheels on your at your own risk is possible. For possible damages etc. on the own bike during the whole bike trip as well as during transport trips can not be liable.
For your own safety, we recommend that you always wear a bicycle helmet on all bicycle tours.
Arrival
Friedrichshafen is easily accessible by train. Get in on the vacation at home. Relax during the train ride against the magnificent backdrop of the lake and mountains. Rent the bikes and ride without stress by train. Info at www.bahn.de.
Car / Parking
A public underground parking is available for about € 15,- per car/day according to availability in about 20 minutes walking distance from the hotel. Free parking at Friedrichshafen-Fischbach train station (subject to availability, approx. 3.8 km by bike/12 min. or short train ride every hour approx. 8 min. € 2.05 p.p. + € 3.20 p. Bike)
