Accommodation
You will stay in 3*** and 4**** hotels with a swimming pool. All rooms are equipped with shower/WC.
When booking the trip we offer different types of rooms:
> A double room is a room with a double bed
>A 2-bed room is a room with two separate beds
> a 3-bed room is usually a room with a double bed + a bed/sofa bed
> a 4-bed room can also be replaced by two adjoining double or twin rooms, depending on hotel availability.
Requirements
The tour is easy to ride. Many castles, gardens and floodplains offer ever-changing destinations for a break. There is always something new to discover. The trails are mostly low-traffic and carefree to ride in a family clan.
> The total travel distance over all days is approx. 205 km.
> Uphill elevation profile: 440 m
> 90% on paved roads, the remaining sections are unpaved.
> The routes have been specially selected for the little ones among the cyclists. You will mainly be riding on cycle paths or roads with little traffic.
> On day 2 there is a train connection between the overnight locations.
>On days 2 and 3 there is the option of shortening the route by train.
The trip is not suitable for persons with reduced mobility. Please contact us for detailed information if needed.
Rental bikes
You are welcome to hire bicycles from us for your tour.
Unisex or men’s touring bikes with Shimano Deore 27-speed derailleur gears. Bikes with 7-speed hub gears and coaster brakes are available on request
Electric bikes (unisex) with a 9-speed gearbox and assistance up to 25 km/h. Range: approx. 90 km (depending on driving style).
Children’s bikes with tire sizes 20 – 24 inches
Follow-me tandem for children’s bikes 20″ – max. 30 kg – 6-8 years
Parent-child tandem 1 adult + 1 child 6-8 years
All bikes are equipped with puncture-proof tires, waterproof pannier, handlebar bag (1 x per room), repair kit (1 x per room) and bike lock.
Own bikes
> It is possible to bring your own bikes, but at your own risk.
> For possible damages etc. on the own bike during the whole bike trip as well as during transport trips can not be liable.
For your safety, we recommend that you always wear a bicycle helmet on all bike tours.
You are also welcome to rent it for the duration of the trip.
Arrival
In addition to the OKW, the starting point and destination Blois is also easily accessible by train.
