Your trip
Experience one of the most beautiful premium cycle routes in Germany. Experience the Franconian wine lands. On this tour from beautiful Bamberg downstream to the Main metropolis of Frankfurt, your floating hotel will accompany you as you cycle down the Main yourself – through picturesque old towns, gentle vineyards and beautiful floodplains with plenty of places to swim and take a break. You will see: The Franconians love their river and look after their riverside cycle path with lots of little surprises and exciting stories about this land steeped in history.
Franconia is a region of excellent wines, say some, while others praise the Franconian beers. On this journey through wine and beer Franconia, you will have plenty of opportunities to sample fine wines, the odd tasty beer and many culinary delights.
But Franconia is of course not just the ideal region for a culinary journey. You can also look forward to towns steeped in tradition, magnificent old towns and a little Venice. Your eyes are also in for a treat.
And the best thing about this wonderful river cruise by bike: the Main cycle path! You are on your way along an excellently constructed cycle path with lots of interesting information and plenty of lovely rest and bathing spots. Vacation on two wheels. Welcome on board!
Your ship: The MS CASANOVA
What better name could there be for this elegantly beautiful barge than that of the great Venetian seducer, adventurer, free spirit and charmer Giacomo Casanova. While he lived and traveled throughout Europe at the end of the 18th century, today you have the opportunity to experience the beautiful Main-Franconia region in his spirit.
The Panorama Salon with its cozy bar invites you to linger. Enjoy the view of the passing landscape and a little flirtation with your fellow passengers over a glass of wine or a cocktail.
In the stylishly furnished restaurant, the kitchen crew will spoil you with varied menus several times a day.
Cabins
Your ship accommodates a total of 48 outside cabins on two decks. They are each approx. 12 m² in size and equipped with shower/WC, hairdryer, satellite TV, a safe (deposit required), a minibar, on-board telephone and individually adjustable air conditioning. In the cheaper aft cabins, there may be audible engine and generator noise. However, we also recommend that all other guests take earplugs with them on their journey.
Cabins with single beds have two separate beds, one of which can be used as a sofa during the day. The cabins with a double bed are equipped with a large bed (1.60 × 2 m) with two single mattresses.
