The journey begins in\u00a0Saig<\/strong>. It takes you via \u00a0Hinterzarten<\/strong> to the highest point of the Black Forest - the\u00a0Feldberg<\/strong>. From there, the route continues through the winter sports resort of \u00a0Todtnauberg<\/strong> into the wide high valley of\u00a0Bernau<\/strong>. Here you can experience the vastness of the heights, the sun, the air and the view of the nearby Alps from their gentler side. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Along quiet paths, you finally reach the shores of the Schluchsee<\/strong> before we return to the starting point of this highest of all Black Forest hiking weeks on the last day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The route and requirements<\/h4>\n\n\n\n

> You walk mostly on forest and secluded hiking trails, always accompanied by magnificent views. The area is well secured. The paths are excellently signposted. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

> The route leads partly over steep, rough paths. Typical hiking surefootedness<\/strong> is therefore important.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

> The ascents and descents in the Black Forest are easy to manage with a good basic level of fitness over walking times of up to 7 hours a day.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The best way to get there is by train. Start your vacation at your home and arrive relaxed in Saig. The H\u00f6llentalbahn<\/a> from Freiburg to Titisee station is a real experience! Further information, tickets and timetables are available from Deutsche Bahn(www.bahn.de)<\/a>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

From Titisee train station<\/a> take a bus to Saig or a cab directly to the hotel, about 10 km.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Free and unguarded outdoor parking is available near the hotel, no pre-reservation required or possible.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
