Cycling vacation Allgäu and Lake Constance: In 7 days from Munich to Lindau

7 Days

Your trip

Let’s cycle through Germany where it’s most beautiful!

Allgäu, Bregenz Forest on the way to Lake ConstanceFrom east to west, from north to south, following the sun along the Alps through the Allgäu to the lake.

This tour takes you from Munich Central Station to the only island town in Bavaria: Lindau on Lake Constance. It takes you along the impressive mountain scenery of the Allgäu Alps through the lush green meadows and the sun-drenched hills of the Alpine foothills from lake to lake.

Visit Lake Starnberg and Lake Staffelsee. Approach the world-famous royal castle of Neuschwanstein from the north-east – just as King Ludwig II must once have done on horseback. Follow the old Roman Via Claudia Augusta into the Lechtal valley to Füssen am Froggensee.

Follow the cycle path along the gentle foehn wind and towards the sun past the Grüntensee, cross the Iller and jump into the Großer Alpsee between Nesselwang and Oberstaufen on the way. The last day finally takes you to Lindau on the lake near Bregenz.

If you like – and have a little more time and enthusiasm for the saddle, then your journey can really begin. Include the round trip 309 around Lake Constance from Lindau back to Lindau.

Accommodation

On this tour, you will be accommodated throughout in good, typical regional inns and mid-range hotels of 3- and 4-star standard. We have given a few example hotels for each day. An extensive cyclist’s breakfast is included on all our cycle tours in all hotels.
